Alina Humphreys is a Senior Associate with Maurice
Blackburn Commercial. She has extensive commercial litigation and dispute
resolution experience and, in particular, has considerable expertise in the
management and planning of large-scale litigation cases. Alina has represented
clients in complex contested Supreme Court and Federal Court proceedings in
Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. Her clients have included listed and
private companies and individuals
in the
financial services, energy, property, biotechnology and
insurance sectors.
Prior to joining Goldman Partners (now Maurice Blackburn Commercial) in 2004, Alina worked as a lawyer at another leading law firm and in 1999, was the associate to Mr Justice Chesterman of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Alina was admitted to practice in January 2001 and graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in psychology). She also holds a Diploma in Speech and Drama from the Australian Music Examinations Board. Alina is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and Victorian Women Lawyers.
