John is a Senior Associate at Maurice
Blackburn Commercial. He provides superannuation, financial services reform,
estate planning and structuring advice to accountants, financial advisers,
superannuation fund trustees and high net-worth clients.
John also prepares documentation to establish superannuation funds and to vary superannuation fund trust deeds to reflect latest changes in superannuation law.
His expertise is specialised, advising largely in the areas of superannuation, estate planning, tax structuring, and trusts, including discretionary trusts and unit trusts. John has practised for over five years in these key areas.
John has presented to industry on superannuation and tax-related legal issues and is a regular contributor to relevant industry journals and is also a member of Law Institute of Victoria.
John graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (1999) from Deakin University and was admitted in 2001. He is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a member of the ASFA Small Funds Discussion Group, which addresses emerging issues affecting small superannuation funds.
